Every night of the week, you’ll find something happening in Duluth’s lively arts and cultural scene. From downtown to Proctor, you’ll find a number of theater companies staging productions in comedy, drama, or musical. Downtown, you can hear the harmonies of well-regarded symphony. You can discover galleries of photography, paintings and pottery, in local restaurants and cafes, and across the bridge in Superior. And nearly every weekend of the year, you can enjoy festivals and fairs featuring painters and potters and live bands to suit any musical palate.
The A.H. Zeppa Family Foundation - established in 2005, the Zeppa Foundation has been a driving force in growing the performance and visual arts in our community. The Foundation supports many of Duluth’s existing arts and cultural resources, like the Duluth Playhouse, and is working to develop new ones— notably, an independent movie theater and an all-ages music venue, both located downtown, are already in the works.
