This week in Duluth, it's all about kicking off the holiday season!

Happy Wednesday! I deem this week – Duluth’s Kick-Off of the Holidays! We have a ton of ways to get into that holiday spirit this week, plus other fun events. Here’s a look at what you can find happening in Duluth:

First up, it’s time to give back! Do you enjoy the trails and water around Duluth? The Great Outdoors Party will offer you a chance to give back to the activities you love to do in Duluth. It’s part of Give to the Max 2018, and it’s a big ol’ party at Bent Paddle on Thursday, November 15. The party runs from 5:30-8:30pm – you can get the details, here.

Friday, a favorite holiday tradition takes over Superior Street for a 60th year! The Christmas City of the North Parade marches down Superior at 6:25pm. If you can’t make it to the parade in person, tune in to KBJR 6, head to their website, or their Facebook to watch the parade live while enjoying some hot cocoa at home.

And the holiday fun continues! Saturday, Bayfront Festival Park will light up with 5 million lights as the Bentleyville “Tour of Lights” opens for a 15th season. The Big Man in Red will be making his entrance at 4:55pm by air – yes, skydiving! Bentleyville is America’s largest free walk-through lighting display and draws quite the crowd each year. Looking for some tips on how to get the most out of your visit? Check out the Duluth Mom’s Blog. Bentleyville will be open November 17-December 26, 5-9pm Sunday-Thursday and 5-10pm Friday & Saturday. Check out their website for more info.

If you’re a fan of Christmas trees, it’s time to head to Glensheen for a tour. They’ve been closed most of the week for decorating, and come Saturday they will reopen to showcase all their holiday décor. Their Christmas Tours launch Saturday and feature 25 Christmas trees, hundreds of feet of garland, hidden elves, and more. A Glensheen Christmas can be enjoyed through Sunday, January 6.

Here’s an opportunity to shop local, support area artists, and find one-of-a-kind items - the HoliDAI Market at the Duluth Art Institute is open Saturday from 10am-5pm and will feature 50 artists with handmade works. You’ll find the HoliDAI Market at the Depot, along with hot cocoa, treats, demos, and hands-on activities. Get the details, here.

Planning a wedding this holiday season? Greysolon Ballroom is hosting their Wedding Open House on Sunday, November 18 from Noon-3pm. This event is free to attend and open to all engaged couples, friends, and family. You’ll be able to mix and mingle with the Greysolon sales team and area vendors ranging from florists to makeup specialists. You can pre-register here.

Well, that’s a look at just some of the fun (I mean, it’s A LOT of fun) you can find happening in Duluth this week. Check our Event Calendar for more events coming up. As always, we hope to see you soon!

Happy Adventuring!
