Another Wednesday is here and another busy September weekend is around the corner! Here’s a look at all the fun you can find coming up in Duluth this week:
First, it’s Wednesday and that means a few of our favorite weekly activities are on the calendar – Glensheen hosts their weekly Chef in the Garden series beginning at 6pm. And Pier B Resort continues their Rooftop Wednesdays with 6 String Sunset starting at 7pm. You could even enjoy both!
Thursday, September 13, head to Clyde Iron Works for a film festival dedicated to the Boundary Waters Wilderness. This is the Fourth Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival, hosted by the Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness. Doors open at 6:30pm with the show beginning at 7pm.
Friday and Saturday – Bayfront Festival Park is home to the Duluth Rising Festival! Both days there will be hot air balloon inflation and tethered rides, which of course, is contingent on the weather. You can also enjoy the Craft Brew Village, the free family Kiwanis Kite Fly on Saturday, a weather balloon launch, and a concert with Disney star Peyton List. Also this Friday and Saturday – the 23rd Annual NorthShore Inline Marathon! The expo is Friday in the DECC Arena from noon-9pm, which will includes demos of roller derby, skate cross, and indoor speed skating. Saturday is race day with six different events – the inline half, inline full, inline combined, rollerski marathon, St. Luke’s Wheels-Off Half Marathon, and the Tunnel 10k. Get more details, here.

Feeling fall? Tis the season at Engwall’s Corn Maze beginning this Saturday! The maze will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-6pm through September 29. You can also check out a corn pit, corn cannons, hay rides, and a sling shot. Ticket prices, here.

History lovers have the chance to get inside several historic homes this Sunday during the Duluth Preservation Alliance’s 38th Annual Historic Properties Tour. There are five historic gems on this year’s Sunday tour and tickets are $20. Learn more about this year’s properties and get tickets, here.
