Happy Wednesday, folks! And welcome to June! We have a wide-range of fun to be found in Duluth this week - let's take a look!

How about some trail running? You are all invited for a free group trail run in Chester Park on Friday, June 8. It’s all in preparation for the 2nd Annual Chester Park Trail race on June 29. You’ll be able to check out the 5K course ahead of the race and get some trail running tips. Bring your questions! The group run starts at 6:30pm. Again, it's FREE!

Rummage sale fans – it could very well be your favorite weekend of the year! The Park Point Rummage Sale is back for another weekend, Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9. Just across the lift bridge you’ll find 4 miles and approximately 125 yards of bargains. There is food available throughout the event and plenty of free parking on both sides of the street. You can find more information on the Park Point Community Club Facebook Page.

Saturday, June 9 – head to the Coppertop Church from 10am-2pm for the Duluth Monarch Festival! Learn more about saving monarch butterflies while hearing from speakers, checking out vendors, shopping for pollinator plants, and enjoying tons of fun activities for kids. Admission is $5, kids 12 and under are free. Get all the details here.

Maybe you’re looking for a little adventure this weekend? Also on Saturday, June 9 -  Max Fierek’s Duluth Hard Enduro returns! This is one of the midwest's premier Enduro Mountain Bike races challenging riders to a 40+ mile ride from Lester Park to Spirit Mountain, hitting all the best descents in Duluth along the way! They have four different categories for racing including Open Men, Open Women, 40+ Men and Junior U21. Pre-registration closes today, June 6 at 8pm, but they do offer last minute day of registration. Race start is 9am Saturday. Check out Fierek's videos on YouTube - they are pretty cool! Also, learn more about the race on their website.

And now back to Chester Park. Returning for a 36th season – the Chester Creek Concert Series! Every Tuesday this summer, starting Tuesday, June 12, you can enjoy free, live music, in a family-friendly outdoor environment thanks to Chester Bowl, Duluth Parks, KatCountry and My 95.7. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair! The music generally begins at 7pm. You can get a full summer lineup here.

Don’t forget, Grandma’s Marathon weekend is just around the corner! June 15 & 16. We’ll have all the details on this year's 42nd running for you next week. We hope to see you soon!

Happy Adventuring!
