Happy Wednesday! End of August, here we come! Let’s take a look at some of the fun you find in Duluth this week:
Have you checked out the Lincoln Park Farmers Market yet? Every Thursday through October 3, you’ll find fresh vegetables, baked goods, coffee, meat, eggs, and more at the Harrison Community Center. This is a food access market which was started in 2012 in response to Lincoln Park residents’ requests for fresh food in the neighborhood. Check it out Thursday from 4-7pm! Learn more.
Also this Thursday, the 3-day Tribute Fest at Bayfront Festival Park kicks off with Country Night! Friday and Saturday feature tributes to Guns ‘n’ Roses, The Doors, AC/DC, Aerosmith – and many more! The Tribute Fest not only features great music, but it also supports a great cause. The music festival raises funds and awareness for homeless veterans in Minnesota. Funds raised go to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). Get tickets, here.
Friday-Sunday, head to Gary New Duluth for their annual Far West Days celebration. The weekend features tons of live music, activities for kids, a car show, and vendors. Get the full schedule on their Facebook Page.
Looking for more fresh goods? Head to the Duluth Farmers Market Saturday 8am-12pm. The barn is located at 1324 E 3rd St and is always full of produce. If you can’t make Saturday’s market, they are open every Wednesday 2-5pm and Saturday morning through October. Go to their website for more information.
Sunday, more fun in Gary New Duluth! The GND Rec Center is hosting a free concert under their pavilion. The U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America presents Starlifter at 3pm. Don’t forget to bring your own lawn chairs! Check their Facebook for more free concerts coming up next month.
That wraps up this week’s blog – don’t forget to peruse our Event Calendar for more fun you can find coming up in Duluth. We hope to see you soon!
