Visit Duluth and the Duluth Hospitality Community hosted a client appreciation event November 17th at On The Rocks Art Studio in Canal Park for local meeting planners. This event thanked local planners for hosting a meeting/convention in Duluth while showcasing an creative group activity available for their attendees.
Winter, continues to be active with tour groups including overnight and day trips to attend Bentleyville Tour of Lights.
In early December Visit Duluth hosted staff from the Tourism Alliance Partnership for their final site inspection leading up to their convention June 2-6. The planners anticipate more than 200 tour operators from across the country to attend. This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase Duluth and the entire state to trip organizers throughout the US. Visit Duluth is working in partnership with Explore Minnesota Tourism on this event.
Kim Kervina will market Duluth as a top destination wedding location at two shows in January. Weddings were a new initiative in 2015 and this expanded effort will continue into 2016.
