Sierra Duluth Grand Opening
Sierra, part of the TJX family of brands (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Homesense), is opening its doors in Duluth on Saturday, October 24 at 8 a.m. at Burning Tree Plaza (5115 Burning Tree Road). The +17,000 sq. ft. store will carry top-brand apparel, footwear, and gear for hiking, running, everyday movement, and everything in between — all at 20–60% off department and specialty store prices. Sierra’s mission resonates locally — whether shoppers are hiking along the Superior Hiking Trail or jogging the Lakewalk along Lake Superior, there’s something for every level of adventurer. Whoopsa Daisy Farm
Come and explore the farm with your family. Jump in the corn pit, dig in the sandbox, or explore Dinoland and Fairyland. There are two playgrounds, yard games, a wagon ride through the Whimsical Woods and so much more. Feed the donkeys, goats, and chickens and walk through the berries. The farm is open to everyone Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, August 7 through October 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will also open Thursday, October 15 for MEA weekend from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets are sold at the entrance in the yellow building. The cost is $8.00 a person, and infants are free. Everything on the farm is included in the price. We are off Highway 53 in Duluth at 5399 Samuelson Road.
BOO!seum: Monster Masterpieces
Celebrate Halloween with a creative twist at BOO!seum: Monster Masterpieces at the Duluth Children’s Museum! On Saturday, October 24, families are invited to explore the museum while enjoying silly monsters, creepy crafts, imaginative art activities, and plenty of opportunities to create their very own monster masterpieces. Choose from two event sessions, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. or 1–3 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, but never required, for this not-too-spooky Halloween celebration designed especially for kids and families. Expect hands-on activities, festive museum fun, and lots of wonderfully weird, colorful, and creative monsters along the way. Advance registration is required.
Acrylic Paint Class
Explore your creativity! Follow along with step-by-step instruction to paint your own piece of art – all materials are provided and no experience is necessary. Snacks and beverages are welcome. Carlton County Animal Rescue Adopt Joy Event
Join us at PetSmart in Duluth on Saturday, October 24th from 10 am – 1 pm to meet adoptable cats, kittens, adult dogs, and puppies who are looking for their forever homes! PetSmart Charities is hosting their fall national adoption week and we are excited for the opportunity to showcase some of our adoptable animals.
