MORE TO SEE AND DO

Duluth, the gateway to a vast array of destinations - an entire region full of fun things to see and do all within a day's drive. Spend a day exploring the Iron Trail Region, which consists of eleven communities between Hoyt Lakes and Hibbing and stretching over a 50-mile area, the Iron Trail is home to 320,000 acres of the Superior National Forest and 500 lakes, rivers and streams. These unique communities have historic architectural buildings, grand main streets, great shopping and attraction and entertainment venues.

Experience the story of Iron Range mining and immigration: the life, the work, the place, and the people at Ironworld Discovery Center. Ironworld offers a museum and library, outdoor exhibits, education programs and a 2.5-mile trolley excursion.

Visit the Judy Garland Birthplace and Children's Discovery Museum. A one-acre memorial flower garden leads to the restored 1925 childhood home of America's Treasure, Judy Garland-star of the world's most beloved film, Wizard of Oz. An adjacent gallery showcases Judy's Hollywood movie costumes, props and personal effects, including the carriage used in the Wizard of Oz. The Children's Discovery Museum is full of exciting interactive exhibits like Dinostories, Geo Zoom and a River Center.
