MORE TO OUR SHORES

Known as the "Twin Ports", Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin share the spotlight as the number one port on the Great Lakes as well as among the busiest in the nation. Superior, Wisconsin - it's a short drive across either the Blatnik or Bong Bridges.

Once you're there, board Duluth/Superior Excursions and experience the wonders of Lake Superior as you cruise up close to 1000-foot lake freighters and ocean-going vessels. See lighthouses, ships, beautiful scenery and more.

Superior offers cultural attractions including Fairlawn Mansion Museum, a 42-room, 1890s Victorian mansion, once the private residence of lumber baron and Mayor, Martin Pattison. Visit the Richard I. Bong World War II Heritage Center. A tribute to the efforts of a nation in the defense of freedom, the Heritage Center honors all WWII participants. Through interactive exhibits, you'll experience life on the frontline and the homefront through the eyes of the participants.

If you're feeling adventuresome, take a canoe or kayak trip on the Brule River. Let Brule River Canoe Rental be your guide. They offer trips for the novices and the more experienced, along with Lake Superior cave tours.

Play a round of golf at Nemadji Golf Course, a 4-star rated 36-hole public golf course. Nemadji Golf Course also offers a driving range and a 3-hole, par 3 practice course. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon or an exciting evening under the lights at Captain J’s Miniature Golf Course, with 18 holes of family friendly fun.
