West Duluth
The west side of our city is tucked into a cozy little valley, with Lake Superior and the St. Louis River on one side and the rolling hillside on the other. Here, youll find charming breakfast diners, eclectic music venues and comfortable hotels. The paved Willard Munger State Trail, ideal for biking or in-line skating, extends 63 miles from Duluth to Hinckley, winding through spectacular Jay Cooke State Park. The five-mile Western Waterfront Trail follows the river, offering a scenic, easy hike or trail run. And dont forget to make a stop at the zoo, where the whole family will enjoy tigers, snow leopards, monkeys and other critters large and small.
