The Festival


The 2011 Duluth Music and Maritime Festival will take place on the waterfront behind Grandmas Sport Garden and the Paulucci building, harbor side on the shore of Lake Superior. Festival goers will have the opportunity to observe the three ships arrive and depart the harbor several times each day, listen to the ship Captains and First Mates instruct their crew as they arrive and depart port.

There will also be a wide variety of food and refreshments for sale from Grandmas Restaurants, musical performances, strolling musicians, magicians, facepainting, family programming by the Duluth Playhouse and educational programs all amongst the beautiful backdrop of Lake Superior.


Please note that this year's Festival will NOT include on board tours.

A Multi-Day Festival Pass is available for $40, including all evening concerts; $20 for daily passes including evening concerts; family weekend passes for $25, includes festival access, daytime entertainment and ship viewing (evening concerts not included); daily family passes for $15 (evening concerts not included); individual daily passes for $10 (evening concerts not included). Family tickets (weekend and daily) and adult daily and adult weekend without concerts are valid from the times the festival gates open until 4:30 PM Friday and Saturday and until 5:30 PM Sunday.

Family tickets (weekend and daily) and adult daily and adult weekend without concerts are valid from the times the festival gates open until 4:30 PM Friday and Saturday and until 6 PM Sunday. *Concert attendees must be 21 year or older or accompanied by and adult.

No cans, bottles coolers, beverages or pets (except service animals) allowed at Duluth Music and Maritime Festival. No alcohol may be brought into the event. Backpacks, large handbags and purses may be inspected at the entrance. Staff will not hold items at the gate. Admittance will be denied if clothing is considered offensive, disruptive or unsuitable.
