SPOTLIGHT ON A MEMBER
Lori Steinbach and Lisa Sundberg, Visit Duluth
Visit Duluth’s Spotlight on a Member for May is Indian Point Campground. Visit Duluth extends our appreciation to Will Munger, Jr., for his response.
“Indian Point Campground offers 70 spacious campsites on the scenic St. Louis River. Its location is at the head of the Munger Trail, close to the base of Spirit Mountain, just minutes from Downtown Duluth.,” says Will.
“Canoeing, kayaking, boating & fishing or hiking, biking, rollerblading, or birding is all available at or near the campground. This site is one of Duluth’s original tourism attractions now managed by the Willard Munger Inn.
The best part of having campers and outdoor enthusiasts, are the “good feelings,” and “positive feedback” on how “special” Duluth is! People like coming here! We are open for business starting May 1 thru October 15.”
Munger states, “Indian Point Campground has been a member of Visit Duluth for many years. It is the single best way to promote tourism and combine efforts. It just made economic sense. They have an outstanding record of accomplishment we like to support.”
Two things which have improved the enjoyment and entertainment for Duluthians’ and our tourists, is the development of the Superior Hiking Trails, and great events Duluth has during the spring, summer, and fall. Our guests enjoy Grandma’s Marathon, Duluth’s Fourth Fest and the Bayfront Blues Festival. These events, along with all of the others, have an economic impact and display our commitment to tourism and local businesses.”
Thank you, Willard Munger Inn for being our spotlight on a member.
