"WOODIES ON THEWATER" • SATURDAY , JULY 31
Barker’s Island Marina in Superior, Wisconsin, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The 12th Annual "Woodies on the Water" is the largest wooden and classic boat show on Lake Superior and features vintage and new boats of all kinds – pulling boats, runabouts, power boats, sailboats, canoes and kayaks. The public can vote in four "Best of " classes, plus "Best of Show."

LAKE SUPERIOR MARITIME VISITOR CENTER
Canal Park by the Aerial Lift Bridge
Daily 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
This FREE attraction features regional and Great Lakes maritime history with a unique collection of artifacts, exhibits and videos. The museum, run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is in partnership with the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association, which sponsors the annual Gales of November program with speakers, exhibits, boat tours and activities. Gales is November 12-13, 2010.
