Decision Height
From the winner of the 2013 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival comes this story about friendship and the complex though essential role of women in wartime. Virginia Hascall has left her home and fiancé to become a Women Airforce Service Pilot, doing her part to help defeat the Axis powers in World War II. Through triumph and tragedy, Virginia and her sisters in flight suits learn as much about themselves as they do about airplanes. As the war rages over there, the women form a sisterhood that cannot be broken, and Virginia must make a decision that will change her life forever. 420 Fest
Join us for a transformative morning sound bath from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where you’ll unwind with guided meditation and crystal healing bowls. Following the sound bath, our 420 festivities kick off from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, featuring live music by local bands such as Bruce Woodman & The 20 Minute Time-Outs and Adam Herman . Indulge in delicious food from Johnny B’s Food Truck and Duluth’s Best Bread, get creative with Pottery Burn’s Paint Your Own Pipe, and immerse yourself in the vibrant 420 community atmosphere!
Earth Day
Celebrate our beautiful planet and the places and people that make it so special! Join us for fun activities like engineering your own recyclable invention in our Green Lab, gardening, creating a nature collage and more with our friends from WLSSD, Minnesota Sea Grant, and Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory! Activities included with Museum admission, members are free. **Please note, some activities will be held outdoors in our courtyard! Annual Student Exhibition
Artistic creation is a journey that involves not only effort, but judgment, observation, unpredictability, meaning, abstraction, spirit, growth, and understanding of self. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to advance, authentic creation is easy to get lost in translation. AI is an incredible tool that can enhance human ability, but it wouldn’t exist without the hands and minds that keep it alive. Art and design students at the University of Minnesota Duluth are in a constant state of growth. The 2024 Annual Student Exhibition serves to display their exploration of identity and imagination.
Hemp Fest & THC Release Party
Join us at Fitger’s Barrel Room on Saturday, April 20th for the Hemp Fest & THC Release Party, featuring the launch of Fitger’s Brewhouse Apricot THC Seltzer and live music from C-Silence with DJ Q and the Samuel John Band. Doors open at 7 PM, the event starts at 8 PM, and the first 30 guests receive a free can of the new THC seltzer.
