DULUTH HERITAGE AND ARTS TOUR
Start your historic journey at the Tweed Museum of Art on the University of Minnesota-Duluth Campus. The core of the permanent collections features 13th-18th century European paintings, works of the 19th century French Barbizon School and many fine Hudson River Valley School and American Impressionist paintings.
Next, stop at the St. Louis County Heritage and Arts Center (The Depot). Within The Depot you can visit the Lake Superior Railroad Museum, the Duluth Art Institute, and the Duluth Children's Museum all under one roof.
Travel along the beautiful waterfront to Glensheen Historic Estate and "Feel the Presence of the Past". This beautiful 39-room Jacobean estate is complete with original custom designed furnishings set on 22 acres along Lake Superior.
The Tweed Museum is located at 10 University Drive on the University Minnesota Duluth Campus.
The St. Louis County Heritage and Arts Center is located at 506 West Michigan Street. From the Tweed Museum turn right on Stadium Drive to St. Marie Street, turn right on Woodland Avenue, go left on 21st Avenue East and take I-35 South. Take exit 256B, go right at the stoplights onto Lake Avenue to Superior Street. Turn left on Superior Street to 6th Avenue West and turn left.
The Glensheen Historic Estate is located at 3300 London Road. From the St. Louis County Heritage and Arts Center take Michigan Street to 5th Avenue West and go right. Take I-35 North to London Road exit. Go to the stoplights and stay to your right. Glensheen Historic Estate is on the right.
