Mont du Lac Recreation, nestled on 424 wooded acres, just 15 minutes from Downtown Duluth/ Superior. With breathtaking views of the St. Louis River Valley and Jay Cooke State Park, we offer outdoor activities for everyone no matter the season. In the winter, guests can ski or snowboard on a variety of runs from beginner to expert. Those looking for some adventure can check out our wooded chutes, moguls, beefed up Terrain Park complete with its own surface lift to ensure more time on the snow. Also, be sure to visit our newly expanded Tubing Park with chutes from beginner to advanced!
Duluth's municipal parks offer some great snow activities with 44 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. Duluth is also the gateway to the best snowmobiling anywhere. You can venture out along the scenic 153 -mile C.J. Ramstad Memorial North Shore Trail paralleling Lake Superior. Whether you want to ride the Proctor area, Cloquet, northern Wisconsin, the Iron Range or Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, you’ll realize this region was made for winter and winter was made for you.groomed snowmobile trails that connect to Willard Munger State Trail and to the North Shore.
