Hello, February! This first weekend of the month offers a little bit of everything - hockey, dancing, and escape rooms!

Happy Wednesday! And welcome to February! The sun emerged this week after a cloudy few days and boy, have we seen some spectacular sunrises! Keep them coming, Mother Nature.

Let’s take a look at some of the fun you can find in Duluth this week:

Looking to celebrate with your Valentine a week early? Friday, February 7 at Greysolon Ballroom, you’ll find an Elegant Valentines Dinner Dance with The Dean’s List Jazz Orchestra. The Dean’s List is a full 18-piece band and will play ballroom favorites including swing, foxtrot, cha cha, waltz, and tango. Tickets are $65 per person – get all the details, here.

Cheer on the UMD Men’s Hockey team this weekend as they take on Omaha at AMSOIL Arena Friday and Saturday night. Puck drops at 7:07pm both nights. Find tickets, here. GO BULLDOGS!

The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center is hosting a special 3-day event this weekend featuring multiple escape rooms. Escape the Bong 2.0 runs Thursday, February 6-Saturday, February 8 and will test your deduction and puzzle-solving skills. Tickets are available through Escape Room Parties.

Saturday is the second Saturday of the month at that means the Nice Girls of the North will once again host their monthly marketplace! This group of local artists put up shop at the Lakeside-Lester Park Community Center every second Saturday to showcase their art, crafts, and baking skills. Check it out Saturday from 10am-3pm. Newsboys kick off their 2020 Greatness of Our God Tour this weekend with a stop in Duluth on Saturday, February 8. The concert begins at 7pm at DECC Symphony Hall with Adam Agee and Mandisa opening. Get tickets, here.
