Happy Wednesday! It may not officially be autumn quite yet - but a few events this weekend will surely get you in the fall spirit! Let's take a look at some of the fun you can find in Duluth this week:
The nation’s largest inline skate marathon is back for its 24th year! And this year, the NorthShore Inline Marathon is switching things up a bit – they are now the NorthShore Inline Marathon and Skate Fest! In addition to the skating, rollerskiing, and running races, the organization has added more demos, clinics, a social skate, and expanded the skate expo. The expo gets underway Friday, September 13 and the races are Saturday – get all the details on their website.
Friday-Sunday the First Annual Duluth Oktoberfestival will take over Bayfront Festival Park! The festival will feature a Bier Hall with authentic German bier and food, activities for kids, live music, games, and even a Dachsund Dash! Get tickets in advance and save! Find ticket information, here.
Planning a wedding in Duluth? The Gitchee Gumee Wedding Show is Sunday, September 15 at the DECC’s Lake Superior Ballroom. This wedding show is designed for those planning a wedding in Duluth as a destination and will feature vendors for all aspects of planning – caterers, transportation, venues, accommodations, music, floral, and more. The show runs from 11am-3pm – get tickets online.
Exciting news if you have yet to see the Gowns of Glensheen exhibit – they have extended the exhibit through October 20! You can see the gowns on display with the purchase of a regular tour.
And now that we are nearing the official start of fall, a few fall attractions are already available:
- Harvest Dinner Cruise with Vista Fleet
