The 43rd Annual Oktoberfest at Grandma’s Grill & Saloon in Canal Park has grown and expanded to The Sports Garden this year! After the tapping of the ceremonial first keg today, the authentic German fare, Oktoberfest beer, and live music gets underway for their kick-off celebration all weekend long. They have a lot planned for this kick-off celebration and the weeks to follow. Get the details on the Grandma’s Saloon & Grill Canal Park Facebook Page.
Friday and Saturday night, head to Spirit Mountain’s Adventure Park to check out their NEW Glow Coaster and Zipline. They’ve turned their Alpine Coaster and Zipline into an illuminated, family friendly, experience. Ticket information at spiritmt.com.
Saturday night, professional boxing returns to the DECC in South Pioneer Hall. Doors open at 6pm and Generation Next is an all-ages show. Featured boxers are Danny Huffman, Uriel Lara, and David Colon. Presented by Seconds Out, details can be found at sofights.com.
Looking for your apple fix this fall? Head to Glensheen this weekend for Apple Flights. Take any tour Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and you’ll be able to buy a flight of 4 different kinds of apples for a small fee at the end of the tour. More info at glensheen.org.
And Sunday, September 30 – a fall wedding show comes to Duluth! The Gitche Gumee Wedding Show is put on by Lundeen Productions, the organizers of the Duluth Wedding Show in January. Gitche Gumee is a destination wedding show and will feature 70 wedding professionals in the DECC’s Lake Superior Ballroom. The event runs 11-3 Sunday. Tickets available online.
And fall colors are popping, getting closer to peak here in Duluth! Start planning that fall getaway to Duluth, because as always, we hope to see you soon.
