Happy Wednesday and day after Election Day! Looking for some fun things to do this week? We got you covered. Here’s a look at what you can find in Duluth:

First up, some fun tonight! Glensheen kicks off their November Wednesday night series – Secrets of Glensheen. The Collections Manager at the estate, Milissa Brooks Ojibway, will showcase various objects from the Glensheen collection that have been hidden out of sight from visitors. Guests will be able to ask questions and get up close – cool! This is free and open to the public, and runs from 7-8pm.

Also tonight – the Salvation Army Red Kettle Kick-off at Bentleyville! From 5-7pm, enjoy this free family event at Bayfront Festival Park. This event offers the once-a-year opportunity to go inside the 128-foot Bentleyville Tree if you bring a food item or new toy to donate for the Salvation Army. Bentleyville opens November 17.

The march begins at 10:15am at the Depot, and goes down 5th Ave West to the DECC auditorium where a program will begin at 11am. More information.

And on Monday, November 12 – the St. Louis County Historical Society and its Veterans Memorial Hall Program invites the public to the formal installation of the country’s highest military award, the Medal of Honor awarded posthumously to Major Henry A. Courtney, Jr. United States Marine Corps, by former President Harry S. Truman. The event will be held at the Depot at 1:30pm and is free and open to the public. Details.
