Happy Thursday! It’s been another snowy week in Duluth – winter outdoor enthusiasts are rejoicing! We have plenty of snow to enjoy, and the temps are expected to warm up, making it even more enjoyable to be out in the snow. Here’s a look at some of the wintry fun you can find in Duluth this week:

Glensheen’s free outdoor light display opened earlier this week – and you can experience it now through December 28 (closed 12/24 and 12/25)! The Spirit of the Lights is a display that originated on Park Point at the home of Marcia Hales. It is beloved by many! And now has a new home at Glensheen. Get all the details, here.

Friday, December 13-Sunday, December 15, ice anglers will find their “heaven” down at the DECC during the Arrowhead Ice Fishing and Winter Show. In addition to the latest and greatest in ice fishing, the show also offers fun for the whole family, including a life-size snow globe for photos, a grizzly bear exhibit, and 3d street art experience. Learn more on their website.

A favorite holiday tradition returns to the DECC Symphony Hall stage Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – The Nutcracker! The Minnesota Ballet presents the classic during three performances this weekend. Purchase tickets, here

What’s better than a visit with Santa? Breakfast with Santa! The Port of Duluth Kiwanis Club hosts this annual event at the Coppertop Church in Duluth on Saturday, December 14. Tickets are $20 a family and every child gets a free book. Check out the club’s Facebook Page for more information.

Also Saturday, the Lincoln Park Craft District is hosting a holiday market at several retailers within the neighborhood. Expect special events and promotions featuring the artists behind the craft district. Learn more, here.

Santa will also be making an appearance at Fitger’s this weekend – along with his reindeer! Saturday from 11am-4pm and Sunday 12pm-3pm, visit with Santa indoors and then head outside to the courtyard to meet the reindeer. A great photo op! More details can be found on the Fitger’s website.

And keep this on your radar: a new cocktail bar is opening in the Lincoln Park Craft District. Expect to be hearing more about Noble Pour very, very soon!

And (x2) don’t forget you still have two weekends to ride the Christmas City Express and Bentleyville is open until Saturday, December 28!

Find more wintry fun on our Event Calendar and as always, we hope to see you soon!

Happy Adventuring!
